Members of the SHSR are the authors and co-authors of many books on the history and culture of the Slavs in Latvia. Some books were written by them even before the creation of the organization.
So, Boris Infantyev is the author of the books: “Relations between Latvian and Russian folklorists” (1956), “M. Gorky, V. Mayakovsky, N. Ostrovsky in Latvia” (1965), “Key No. 1” (1967), “M. Gorky and Latvia” (1971), “Russian language in the national school of Latvia” (1972), “V.V. Mayakovsky and Latvia” (1974), “Russian-Latvian literary ties” (1976), “Russian writers and Latvia” (1976, 2013), “Latvia in the fate and works of Russian writers” (1994, 1996), “Addressing Latvia lines” (1999), “Latgalian origins of Yuri Tynyanov” (2004),“Baltic-Slavic cultural ties” (2007).
The current chairman of the SHSR Oleg Pukhlyak is the author of such books as “100 Russian portraits in the history of Latvia” (2008), “The Great Northern War in Latvia, 1700-1721” (2010), “Slavic history of Latvia” (2010), “Actions of the Russian and the English fleets near Riga in 1812” (2012), “Dinaburg fortress in the whirlwind of 1812” (2012), “The Battle of Gross-Eckau (Iecava) on 7 (19) July 1812” (2012) and “The year 1812 in Latvia. Legendary names and memorable places” (2012). He also edited the collection of articles “The year 1812 in Latvia and Estonia” (2013). In addition, together with Dmitry Borisov he wrote the book “Russians in Latvia from the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century” (2003).
